We all have a fear of the unknown. When it comes to talking to complete strangers about work, Employment News’ advice section on “How to talk to Strangers” is food for thought. You need to determine whether or not you want to make cold calls, but as Cohen says to ask yourself, “What is the worst that can happen on a cold call, and what is the best that can happen?” If you can live through either occurrence, then go for it.
